Communications:  This is a newly formed to include internal and external avenues of delivering information and news.  This committee includes:

Quarterly PTA Newsletter - Monica Cantu-chairperson (Monica.cantu@comcast.net)
Publicity – updating website, writing press releases for local media, photographing events throughout the school year - Lara Kowalski-chairperson (lara@k4family.net). 
We are specifically looking for volunteers to photograph various events.

Cultural Arts  - Chairperson, Betsy Griebenow (betsygriebenow@comcast.net)
This committee plans assemblies and programs for the students, which complement the school curriculum.  The committee also plans the “Lin Cannes Movie Festival” in March during which students view movies chosen to exemplify themes of “Character Counts!” Volunteers are needed to attend events and coordinate raffles.

Dynamite Night – Chairpersons, Karen Brask (brask@mediqus.com) and Lisa Snead (lisa@underscan.com)
This is an annual autumn event of games, prizes, food, music and dancing.  Sixth graders usually attend in the afternoon and seventh and eighth graders in the evening.  The committee hires the game vendor and DJ, purchases food and schedules the volunteers.  This is the biggest social event sponsored by the PTA. 

Environmental Education – Chairperson, Anna Pentikainene (japentik@msn.com)
This committee encourages student participation in environmental awareness.  It coordinates recycling activities among the other schools in the district as well as sponsors a special event in the spring related to the environment. 

Family Liaison – Chairperson, Chris Barr (chrisbarr1@netzero.net)
This committee helps new families to assimilate into Lincoln. 

Graduation Activities Debbie Caccamo, caccamofamily@wowway.com and Renee Del Signore, mdwestie@wowway.com Chairpersons
This committee plans the end of the year events for the eighth graders, including a dance, picnic, baby picture contest, and production of a DVD. 

Hospitality is a newly formed committee to include the following:
Breakfast treats: Purchasing and distributing breakfast treats for students on half days.  Chairpersons, Debbie Caccamo (caccamofamily@wowway.com) and Linda Pizzato, (l2pizzato@comcast.net)
Helping Hands: helping families facing hardship at Lincoln by providing meals, rides, help as needed.  Chairperson, Denyl Morgan, denylm@aol.com

Market Day:  Chairperson, Patti Phillipe (philippe3@yahoo.com)
The chairperson coordinates Market Day orders, which are then distributed at Lincoln.   Volunteers are needed to help pass out Market Day orders. 

Membership: Chairperson, Maggie Rossie (mags9@comcast.net )
This committee promotes and coordinates PTA membership drive.  Volunteers are needed early in the school year to staff tables at back to school events. 

Open Gym – 6th Grade Chairperson: Patti Phillipe (philippe3@yahoo.com), 6th Grade
7th/8th Grade Chairpersons: Michelle Ciero (ciero4@aol.com) and Laura Matuszak (lmatg@allstate.com)
These events are held after school for 6th grade and 7th grade students usually during the fall.  The gyms are set up for activities such as ping pong, basketball, and volleyball.  Snacks, raffle prizes, and bingo are available in the cafeteria.  This committee plans the activities and food, procures raffle prizes and schedules volunteers. 

Staff Appreciation – Chairperson: Sara Cilia (saracilia@wowway.com) and Amy Romanelli (amy.romanelli@comcast.net)
This committee plans activities to recognize Lincoln’s staff, such as providing meals during conferences and during staff appreciation week in May.  Committee determines theme and events and coordinates activities.
